Envirocare
Clive, Utah
 Envirocare operates one of the largest radioactive waste storage facilities in the country. The facility spans a massive area in the Utah West Desert.
Meeting EPA and other requirements called for integration of the card access, entry gates, controlled cameras, intercom and off-site camera monitoring.
Automated provided a complete "Turn Key" system which met and exceeded their requirements.
System Design
At each perimeter entry point we installed entry and exit barriers. Long range proximity card access was integrated into the gate controls as well as the pan/tilt/zoom identification camera. As a vehicle approaches each gate the cameras pan, zoom and focus to a pre-set viewing area. An intercom station at each gate allows the security patrol to be contacted in the office as well as on patrol.
1.6 Miles of fiber optic cable connects the cameras to a "state of the art" front end. The cameras interface with a multiplexer, cybermux and digital recorder. The cybermux is connected to the companies computer network. This allows managers at the corporate office in Salt Lake City to control and view the cameras in real time.
